Alexandra Bourlas, M. ED
It’s hard to be true to our own values, our own beliefs and our own heart when there is relentless pressure of trying to fit in. You may have a difficult time to live authentically when you are dancing around your own truth. Whether you are struggling to form relationships, juggling social pressures, building upon your inner strengths, managing continuing anxiety and stress, or dealing with depression and trauma, I am here to help you find hope. We will work together to discover those parts of you that have been in conflict and create positive and safe experiences to reclaim your power.
Therapy is a great way to rebuild your authentic self. I am here to meet you at your level of comfort and offer a non-judgmental, supportive environment to let yourself fully be seen.
I am a Registered Mental Health Intern in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I am an Anxiety Treatment Clinician and a Mindfulness-Informed Professional. I have provided therapy services to a wide range of populations, however, I have discovered a passion for working with teens, adolescents, young adults and emerging adults. I use a strength-based approach to instill a sense of purpose, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which is an action-oriented approach to psychotherapy.
Alexandra is available to see clients both in-person and telehealth.
