Jessica Marchena - Heart Connection Center

Meet Jessica Marchena, LMHC

Since 1997, I have helped my clients have more peace, more love and more joy. I earned my BS degree from the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development in 1995. Then, I moved to Boston and earned my MS degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University.

I have worked with hundreds of clients for the past 25 years in different settings. I have worked with children in schools, with adolescents and their families in intensive outpatient treatment center at the University of Miami, and at the Delray Center for Healing with adults who were dually diagnosed with a substance abuse problem and another mental health disorder. For the past 10 years, I have been in private practice and began to focus more on couples and relationship issues using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Today, I am the owner of the Heart Connection Center which I opened in 2014 to help even more people find the peace and love they deserve and need. Since 2014, Heart Connection Center has grown and now I have 5 highly qualified therapists who I am proud to have on my team. I am very selective about the therapists that I bring into Heart Connection.

I am trained in many therapeutic treatment approaches that help me provide excellent therapy to my clients. I chose these approaches because they are evidence based and backed by research to make long lasting changes in my clients. I am certified in Emotionally Focused. Therapy for Couples and Individuals. I am certified in Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy as a trainer and a supervisor. I also have advanced training in Cognitive Therapy. I regularly attend trainings in my specialties to help provide the highest quality of counseling to my clients. I am also a Qualified Supervisor with Licensed Mental Health Counseling Interns.

I specialize in marriage counseling or relationship counseling. I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples. I help couples understand their negative pattern of communication, by helping them see what they both do in the pattern, how they feel and then how they can step out of it so they can communicate and talk to each other in a better way. Changing their negative pattern of communication, helps couples make long lasting changes in their relationship!

I also work individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I use a combination of different approaches to best fit their needs. I guide my clients to connect with their emotions and needs and guide them to understand why they are stuck and help them find their voice so they can get what they deserve- more peace, more love, more joy!

In my free time, I like spending time with my family and friends and my dog Zoe, playing mahjong or canasta with friends, cooking, exercising on my Peloton and traveling! I also speak Spanish fluently.

I look forward to hearing your story and helping you find more peace, more love and more joy that you deserve! Please call today to book an appointment with me at 561-203-928
