Jessica Blanco, LMHC
Since 1997, I have helped my clients have more peace, more love and more joy. I earned my BS degree from the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development in 1995. Then, I moved to Boston and earned my MS degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University.
I am trained in many therapeutic treatment approaches that help me provide excellent therapy to my clients. I chose these approaches because they are evidence based and backed by research to make long lasting changes in my clients. I am certified in Emotionally Focused. Therapy for Couples and Individuals. I am certified in Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy as a trainer and a supervisor. I also have advanced training in Cognitive Therapy. I regularly attend trainings in my specialties to help provide the highest quality of counseling to my clients. I am also a Qualified Supervisor with Licensed Mental Health Counseling Interns.
I specialize in marriage counseling or relationship counseling. I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples. I help couples understand their negative pattern of communication, by helping them see what they both do in the pattern, how they feel and then how they can step out of it so they can communicate and talk to each other in a better way. Changing their negative pattern of communication, helps couples make long lasting changes in their relationship!
I also work individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I use a combination of different approaches to best fit their needs. I guide my clients to connect with their emotions and needs and guide them to understand why they are stuck and help them find their voice so they can get what they deserve- more peace, more love, more joy!
